Both are 7.8 in (20 cm) across, about a dinner plate stood on its edge. That is wide enough to read from the other side of a room and small enough that two or three can share one wall without turning it into a display case.
Care
Water lightly and let the soil dry between times. A shallow container holds a small volume of soil and warms up faster than a floor pot, so the plants that suit it are the ones that like drying out.
Good to know
This is a home for succulents, cacti and air plants, and a poor one for anything that wants to stay damp. Ferns and calatheas will sulk within a fortnight up there.
