A shelf hung on rope moves, and that changes what belongs on it. The board runs 13.8 in (35 cm) long and 5.5 in (14 cm) deep in paulownia, thin at 0.33 in (0.85 cm), and it arrives assembled with the rope already on.

Size
13.8 x 5.5 in (35 x 14 cm), on a board 0.33 in (0.85 cm) thick. A 4 in nursery pot leaves room for two more beside it, and the 5.5 in (14 cm) depth means a photo frame leans rather than stands square.
Good to know
Rope and a thin board set the limit here. Small pots, a candle, a couple of frames and a trailing plant are the job. A row of books or a stack of plates is not, and anything tall tips the first time somebody shuts a door hard enough to swing it.
Hang it where nobody walks into it. A swinging shelf at head height in a hallway teaches that lesson once.
