The illusion only works from one side of the room, which is the thing nobody mentions about a 3D mat. This one prints a deep stone pit onto machine washable polyester: from the doorway it reads as a hole in your floor, and from directly overhead it reads as a printed rug, which is exactly what it is.
It suits a bathroom entrance, a kitchen run, or a hallway where you want people to look down at something.

The medium at 19 x 31 in (50 x 80 cm) is standard bath mat territory, the footprint you step onto out of a shower. The large at 23 x 35 in (60 x 90 cm) covers the floor in front of a sink with room either side of your feet.

Set it where people approach from one direction. Put it in the middle of an open room and half your visitors see a gray rectangle instead of a pit.
