Queen at 90 in (229 cm) across spans a 60 in (152 cm) mattress with roughly 15 in (38 cm) of drop on each side. That covers the box spring on a low platform bed and stops well short of the floor on a tall frame.

Polyester satin holds body heat. If you sleep hot in August, treat this as a fall and winter layer and put cotton sheets underneath it. The sheen also shows every crease from the fold, so shake it out and give it a night on the bed before you decide anything about it.
