A wall planter is a small planter. The well behind a face like this carries a modest amount of mix, and mix in a shallow well on a warm wall dries out faster than the same plant in a pot on a table. Pothos forgives being checked late. String of pearls does not, so match the plant to how often you actually water.
Water it with a narrow spout, or lift it off the wall and water it at the sink. A wide can over a painted wall leaves a stain in the shape of the planter, and that mark outlasts the plant.
Care
A damp cloth keeps the matte finish even; a matte glaze holds fingerprints in a way a gloss one does not. Hang it on a screw driven into a stud or a plug set into masonry rather than a picture hook. Empty ceramic weighs little. Ceramic plus soaked potting mix, on a nail in drywall, does not stay on the wall.
