Care

Fill it with filtered water if your tap runs hard. Mineral scale is what kills a mist nozzle, and it builds from the inside where you cannot reach it. Empty the reservoir when you are finished for the day rather than leaving water standing in it through a hot week.

Keep it off cushions, books and anything with a keyboard. A fine mist carries further than it looks like it does, and the surface it lands on stays faintly damp for a while after you switch the fan off.
