Solar stakes are only as bright as the sun that reached the panel that afternoon. Under a tree, along a north facing fence, or in a bed shaded by the house, you get a dim hour and then nothing.
These are sunflower blooms on ground stakes, lit by LEDs and charged by a panel in the head, sold two stakes to a pack with either one bloom or three per stake.

- Charge by day, switch on at dusk and off at dawn, with nothing to press.
- No wires and no batteries to buy, so nothing runs back to the house.

- Made to stay outside through rain rather than come in each night.
Treat them as markers rather than lighting. Two stakes will pick out the corner of a bed or the turn of a path, and they will not light the path itself. If you want a lit walkway, count on more of them than you first thought, spaced closer than looks necessary in daylight.
