A sculpture with this many arms needs a shelf edge and a plain wall behind it, not the middle of a crowded mantel. Tentacles read as clutter the moment they overlap something else with detail on it.
It is a standing octopus figure on a round base of gears and grating, holding a telescope in one tentacle and a walking stick in another.
- Flat round base, so it sits steady on a shelf or a desk.
- One tentacle holds a telescope, another holds a walking stick.
- Reads as one dark shape from across a room; the detail is close range.
- A display piece. Nothing on it opens, holds or stores anything.
Care
Dust settles in the curl of every tentacle and in the teeth of the base gears, where a cloth just pushes it deeper. A dry paintbrush or an old makeup brush clears the whole thing in under a minute.
Good to know
Give it a lamp or a window on one side. Flat overhead light fills in the shadows between the gears, and the shadows are most of what you paid for.

About us
About us
Welcome to HollowMade. We hunt for the pieces that make a room worth walking into: vessels, lighting and sculpture, picked one at a time and kept on our own shelves.
Chosen, not listed - Every piece is handled and checked before it ships. If it would not earn a place in our own home, it does not make the catalogue.
Fair prices, quietly - We keep the range tight and the margins honest, so a good object costs what it should and reaches your door wherever you are.
A person on the other end - Write to us and someone reads it. Before the order, after the order, either way.
