Care
Damp salt clogs a small hole faster than anything else in a kitchen. Keep it out of the steam of a boiling pot, and drop a few grains of rice inside if your kitchen runs humid. Empty and dry it before you refill with something else, because the last seasoning is still in there and it will announce itself.
