A narrow spout is the difference between watering the soil and soaking the leaves. This one is a stainless steel sphere holding 50.7 oz (1500 ml), with a long thin gooseneck that reaches past foliage and puts a slow stream right at the base of the plant, and a loop handle that lets it hang from a hook when it is empty.

Care

Rinse it and tip it out after watering, then wipe the outside dry. Water left standing in a metal can leaves a mineral ring inside and dulls a polished finish from the outside in.

Good to know

The narrow spout pours slowly, on purpose. That is what you want for succulents, seedlings and anything with dense foliage over the soil. It is exactly what you do not want for a row of floor pots or a balcony of tomatoes, where 50.7 oz (1500 ml) at a trickle turns into a lot of walking back to the sink.
