A sculpture goes dark with the rest of the room at night, which is a shame if it was the best thing on the shelf. A lit one does not. This is a winged guardian in cast resin, crouched over a sphere that glows blue from the inside.
Switched on, it throws cold blue onto the wall behind it and picks out the texture running along the wings. Switched off in daylight it reads as a sculpture with a clear ball beneath it, so the shelf does not look like it is waiting for dark.

Care
Dry brush along the wing texture and use a soft dry cloth on the sphere. Fingerprints on a lit sphere show up the second it comes on, which is the only moment anyone is looking at it.

Blue is the wrong light for a bedside. It reads cold, and it sits in the part of the spectrum every sleep guide tells you to cut after dark. Give it a living room shelf and leave the bedroom to something warm.
