A paper straw gives up halfway down an iced coffee, and a plastic one goes in the trash behind it. This is neither: a ceramic straw, fired and glazed, modeled as a leg down to the toes.
Two versions, smooth or with the leg hair worked into the surface. Each one is made by hand, so the glaze settles a little differently on every piece.

Care
Run a straw brush through it after anything thick. You cannot see inside a ceramic straw, and a smoothie left in one overnight sets hard in a tube that narrow.
Good to know
Ceramic does not bend and does not forgive a tile floor, so it belongs in the glass or in the drawer rather than balanced on the lip of the sink.
Hot coffee is fine for the straw and briefly less fine for you. Ceramic takes on the temperature of whatever it is standing in and hands it straight to your lip, so give it a minute before the first sip.
