A dark corner does not need another dark object in it. A mirrored surface does the opposite job: it picks up whatever light is already in the room and hands it back, which is why a silvered vase reads brighter on a low shelf than a matte one of the same size.
Glass underneath, finished with a silver electroplate on the outside. It holds water like any glass vase, so cut stems and rooted cuttings both work in it.

The large runs 8.7 in across, close to the width of a salad plate. On a set table that means it holds the middle without pushing a place setting to the edge, and on a shelf it needs a clear span rather than a gap between two books.
Care
Hand wash in warm water and dry it straight away. An electroplated finish and a dishwasher cycle are a bad pair, and hard water left to dry inside leaves a white ring exactly at the fill line.
Good to know
A mirror finish keeps every fingerprint you give it. Carry it by the base, and expect a wipe down on the days you have company. That is the standing charge on anything this reflective.
