Half the tabletop planters in circulation never see a plant. They hold keys by the door, pens at the back of a desk, or rings and studs beside a sink, and a pot that holds a small plant holds all of that just as well. This one arrives as two pieces: a ceramic pot with a marbled surface, and an iron frame that lifts it off the table.
Raising the pot is the part that does the work. Air gets underneath, a wet base does not sit against wood, and a small pot stops looking like something left behind on the desk.

Care
Wipe the ceramic with a damp cloth. Dry the frame properly after a spill: an iron frame left standing in a puddle leaves a rust ring on a wooden surface, and that ring does not come out with polish.
Good to know
Keep a live plant in its nursery pot and lift the whole thing out to water it over the sink, then let it drain before it goes back. Treated that way the ceramic stays a container rather than a bath, which is what kills most plants in a decorative pot.
