Forty bulbs strung over 20 ft (6 m) works out to one blossom every 6 in (15 cm), which is enough to trace a stair rail and nowhere near enough to light a room. Take this vine as a line of light you look at, not a lamp you read by.

Size
An interior door frame stands about 7 ft (2.1 m) tall, so the 10 ft (3 m) run climbs one side and crosses the top with slack to spare. The 5 ft (1.5 m) length covers a shelf or a mirror, not a doorway.

Good to know
The battery box has to live somewhere, and it is the part people forget until the string is already up. Start the run where the box can sit behind a book, a curtain fold or the back edge of a shelf, then work outward. On a bare window frame it stares straight back at you.
Warm white is the only setting. There is no dimmer, so the brightness you get on the first evening is the brightness you keep.
