Solar garden lights fail for one reason more than all the others put together: they get placed where they look good instead of where the sun is.
This one is a cast resin frog sitting in a rocking chair with a lantern in its hand. The panel charges through the day and the lantern comes on by itself once the light drops.
- Cast resin, painted, made to stay outside through the seasons.
- Solar charged, so there is no wiring, no plug and no pack of batteries to buy.
- Comes on at dusk without a switch or a timer.
- Sold as one, two or three.
Specifications
- Light: Warm white LED, solar powered
Good to know
Sun, not daylight. A panel this small needs hours of direct light to fill, so a frog set on a shaded porch or under a dense shrub charges badly and gives up early in the evening. Put it out in the open, or accept a short glow.
Winter shortens every run, and a film of dust or pollen on the panel shortens it further. That is the first thing to check when one of these seems to have died.
Care
Wipe the panel with a damp cloth every few weeks and rinse the resin down with a hose. Bring it inside if your winters freeze hard, because water that works into a crack and then freezes will open the crack wider.

About us
About us
Welcome to HollowMade. We hunt for the pieces that make a room worth walking into: vessels, lighting and sculpture, picked one at a time and kept on our own shelves.
Chosen, not listed - Every piece is handled and checked before it ships. If it would not earn a place in our own home, it does not make the catalogue.
Fair prices, quietly - We keep the range tight and the margins honest, so a good object costs what it should and reaches your door wherever you are.
A person on the other end - Write to us and someone reads it. Before the order, after the order, either way.
