Interlocking Acacia Charcuterie Board Set of 4

Four people around a cheese board means three people waiting while one reaches. Splitting the board is the fix, and this set is cut so it splits: four solid acacia squares with jigsaw edges that lock into one large surface or pull apart into a tray each.

Every piece has a handle tab on one side and a notch cut into an edge that a wine glass stem drops into, so a guest can hold a plate and a glass in the same hand.

Size

Each board is 9 in (23 cm) square, a shade smaller than a dinner plate. Two by two they make one large square board for the middle of a table. Held individually, that is a personal portion: some cheese, some crackers, a few slices of something cured. It is not a board for laying out a whole spread for eight.

Good to know

The glass notch takes a stem. A stemless wine glass, a tumbler or a beer bottle will not sit in it, so check what your guests actually drink from before deciding this solves the balancing problem.

Acacia is wood, and no care instructions ship with the set. Keep it out of the dishwasher, wash it by hand, dry it standing on edge, and rub food safe oil into it once the grain starts to look dry and pale. Boards that go in a dishwasher come out warped, and interlocking edges that have warped no longer interlock.
