The face faces out through the window. That is the trick: from the sidewalk or the next lane, a covered front seat reads as somebody sitting there, and it takes a second look to work out that nobody is.

Underneath the joke it is a stretch fabric seat cover. It pulls over a standard front seat, holds the shape of the backrest, and takes the wear that a bare seat face would.

Check your own seats before it goes on. Universal stops being universal on a seat with the belt built into the backrest, on a bench with a fold down armrest, or where the side bolster holds an airbag: pull anything tight across those and you have changed how the seat is meant to work. A plain front seat with a separate headrest is where this slips on in a minute and stays put.

Care

Take it off before a long trip in summer. A dark stretch cover over a seat that already bakes in the sun holds the heat well past the point where the joke is worth it, and the print keeps its contrast longer out of direct light.
