Eight legs wrap a caged body that holds one tea light. That is the whole object: a spider cut from black wood, made to hang, with the lantern chamber where the abdomen would be.
Put it over a doorway, on a porch hook, or above the table at a party so guests walk under it. LED or wax tea lights both drop into the center, and neither one comes in the box.

Good to know
The legs are the weak point. Thin wood carved into thin legs snaps when you drop the whole thing into a bin with the heavy resin decor at the end of the night. Wrap it on its own and it comes back out for a second season.
Care
Take it down before a storm and dry it if it gets caught out. Wood that stays wet at a joint loosens there first, and on a spider that joint is a leg.
