Most skull decor stops at the shape and leaves the light out of it. This one is a cast resin skull with a dark shade sitting on the cranium, lit from inside so the glow comes out through the eye sockets, the nose, and a web of cracks running across the bone.

Care
Dry brush on the shade, soft dry cloth on the skull. The cracks and the teeth trap dust the way any deep molding does, and a damp cloth leaves a chalky line sitting in the recesses once it dries.
Good to know
The light comes out of the openings in the skull rather than through the shade, so this puts a low orange glow across a nightstand and leaves the rest of the room exactly as dark as it was. It is atmosphere, not a reading lamp, and it wants a solid surface rather than a shelf that flexes.
