Every mechanic already owns a mug. It came free with a parts order, the logo is half worn off, and it lives on the bench under a film of brake dust. This one is molded as an engine block in stainless steel or a toolbox in black ceramic, with the detail cast into the body rather than printed on it.

Materials
The engine version is stainless steel, which takes a fall onto a concrete floor better than ceramic does and shows a fingerprint in exchange. The toolbox version is black ceramic, and that is the one to pick if you reheat coffee more often than you pour it fresh.
Good to know
Steel and a microwave do not mix, and that is the single thing worth settling before you choose a style. Both go in a dishwasher, though the cast detail traps water in the recesses, so rack it face down and expect a few drips as you unload.
