Adhesive is the part that decides whether this works for you. The mount sticks to the wall and the light clicks onto it magnetically, which is dependable on smooth paint and plaster and much less so on textured wallpaper, brick or a chalky emulsion. Run a thumb over the spot before you peel the backing.
It is a rechargeable puck light on a magnetic disc that turns through 360 degrees, controlled by touch on the body or by the remote that comes with it.

Good to know
240 to 280 lumens is accent territory. It lights a picture, a shelf, a closet rail or the strip of wall beside a bed. It will not light a hallway well enough to read a parcel label, and swapping a ceiling fixture for one of these ends in disappointment.
The light lifts straight off the magnet, which is how it charges. That is also what makes it work high on a wall or over a stairwell: the cable never has to reach the light, you bring the light down to the cable.
Rotating heads and stuck on mounts are not natural allies. Every turn of the head puts a small twist into the pad behind it, so aim it once and then leave it alone.
