LED Light Up Drawing Board with 7 Neon Pens

The glow only shows in a dim room. In daylight this is a clear acrylic panel with marker lines on it, which children mind far less than adults do, but it decides where the thing lives: a bedside table, a desk under a lamp you can switch off, a hallway shelf at night.

It is a lit acrylic writing panel on a stand. LEDs in the base run light through the sheet, and the neon marker lines catch that light and glow along the stroke.

Size

The rectangle is about a sheet of paper turned on its side, which is enough room for a note somebody will actually read from across the kitchen. The square is closer to a hardback book cover, so it holds a drawing or a short message and not both.

Good to know

Ghosting is the thing worth knowing about neon marker on acrylic. A dry cloth lifts most of a fresh drawing. A drawing left up for a week leaves a faint trace that wants a damp cloth first and a dry one after. Keep household sprays off it, since acrylic hazes under anything with ammonia in it.

One drawing at a time and no memory. Once it is wiped it is gone, so photograph whatever a child wants to keep before the next round starts.

The pens are the consumable here. The board lasts as long as the acrylic does, and it stays useful for exactly as long as you keep markers that still write.
