Solar Floating Pool Light, 6.7 in, with Remote

A floating light drifts to the downwind end of the pool within a few minutes and parks itself against the skimmer, which is where every one of these ends up unless you plan otherwise. This one has two hanging holes for exactly that reason: tether it, hang it, or accept that it roams.

Size

At 6.7 in (17 cm) across it is about a cantaloupe, which is the size that reads from the other side of a yard without dominating the water. Two or three spread across a pool carry an evening. One alone in a big pool looks like something that fell in.

Good to know

Solar and pool water do not always cooperate. The panel faces up, so a lounger's shadow, a floating leaf or a film of sunscreen across the shell all cut the charge, and after a gray week you will be reaching for the cable. Wipe the top when you skim the pool.

The 165 ft (50 m) remote range is an open air figure, which means a garden with nothing in the way. Through a wall and a patio door, expect to stand closer.

IP68 means it survives submersion, not that it belongs underwater. It is a floating light with a solar panel that has to see the sky. Chlorine dulls ABS over a season, so bring it in when the pool closes.
