Lighted Propagation Vase with Glass Bowl, 8 in

A cutting roots in water for four to six weeks, and for all of that time it lives somewhere you have to look at. This holds one in a small glass bowl with a light underneath it, which is a better answer to the problem than the jam jar on the windowsill.

It is a resin stand with a glass bowl set into it and a battery light in the base. The bowl takes water and a cutting, or a candle if you would rather have the glow without the plant.

Size

At 8 in (21 cm) tall it stands about level with a wine glass, and the 4.3 in (11 cm) front depth means it clears a standard windowsill without hanging over the edge. Each one is measured by hand, so allow 0.3 in to 0.8 in either way.

Good to know

The light is decorative. It is warm and dim and it grows nothing, so the cutting still needs a window with real daylight in it if the roots are going to come.

Change the water weekly. A pothos or monstera cutting left in the same water for a month goes cloudy at the base and the stem softens, and glass shows every bit of that.

Give it one cutting at a time. Push a whole bunch of stems into a bowl this size and the roots knit into a single mat you cannot separate when it is time for soil.
