The small one is nearly as wide as it is tall. The medium and the large are more than twice as tall as they are wide. That proportion decides what goes in them long before the color does: a squat vessel takes a short, loose arrangement, and a narrow one holds a few long stems upright instead of letting them splay.

These are ceramic vessels with abstract facial features worked across the front, sold one at a time in three sizes.

Set a wine bottle on the shelf you have in mind: the large is about that tall, and the small is a hand span shorter. The medium and the large sit within half an inch of each other, so choose between those two on width and finish, not on height. Each piece is measured by hand, so allow 0.3 in to 0.8 in of drift from the table above.

Good to know

Screens shift color, and a finish named BurlyWood on the picker reads warmer in daylight than it does on a phone at night. If the shade has to sit against a wall you have already painted, the black is the one that behaves the same in every light.
