Eight inches puts this in side plate territory, which is worth knowing before it arrives. A dinner plate runs 10 to 12 in and carries a main course. This one carries toast and eggs, a salad beside a bowl, a slice of cake, two scones and a spoon.

The pattern is painted by hand, so the leaf work sits slightly differently on every plate, and there are four designs to choose between.
