Mounted flat against plaster, this reads as a slab of split volcanic rock with amber light bleeding out of the fissures. The LED sits behind the resin shell, so what you see on the wall is the glow through the cracks and never a bulb.

It is an accent light: a hallway, a stairwell, the wall behind a desk. Run it as the only source in a living room and you will be reaching for your phone flashlight by nine.

Size

8.78 x 6.76 in (22.3 x 17.17 cm) of wall, about the area of a hardcover book laid flat. That is enough presence to hold a bare stretch of wall on its own, and small enough that a pair flanking a doorway does not crowd it.
