Chunky Knit Throw Blanket, Wool and Acrylic

Four sizes here carry the same name, and only the two largest behave like a throw. X-Small, 24 x 24 in (61 x 61 cm), is a chair square that covers a lap. Small, 31 x 39 in (79 x 99 cm), stops at the knees of most adults.

The knit itself is a chunky loop in a wool and acrylic blend, in fifteen colors that run from white and ivory through teal, maroon and black.

Measure against your couch, not against the photo. Large, 39 x 59 in (99 x 150 cm), covers one adult lying down, or two people sitting under it as long as nobody moves. Nothing in the range reaches bedspread size.

Care

Keep it out of the washing machine. Chunky loops stretch in a drum and stay stretched.
Shake it out to clear dust, lint and pet hair.
Pull pills off by hand instead of shaving them.
For a spill, rinse the spot in cold water, press it between two towels, then dry flat and flip it now and then.

Good to know

Open loops this size catch on rings, watch clasps and claws. If there is a cat in the house who kneads, this is the blanket she will pick, and hand care only means a knocked coffee cup costs you an afternoon rather than a wash cycle.
