Wet boots arrive at the door in December whether there is a mat there or not, and the hall floor is what pays for it. This one is a soft polyester face on an anti slip backing, printed with three gnomes, in two sizes.

The medium at 20 x 31.5 in (50 x 80 cm) takes one pair of boots and a bag set down beside them. The large at 24 x 35 in (60 x 90 cm) takes two people standing side by side while somebody finds the key, which is the situation a front door mat is actually for.
Care
Wash it cool and let it air dry flat. Heat is what separates a rubber backing from the fabric over a season, and a mat that curls at the corner stops being non slip.
Good to know
Polyester takes the wet off a boot and holds it. That is the job, and it is also why this mat needs the machine after a snowy week rather than a shake at the door. Caked mud off a garden fork belongs on a bristle mat outside.
