A night light in a child's room has one job once the story is over, and it is not lighting the room. This one is a small resin ghost sitting on a wood textured base with a book open in its hands, under a lantern hung from a branch with a warm LED inside it.

Size

At 6.7 in (17 cm) tall it is roughly a wine glass, and the base takes a 4.3 x 3.9 in (11 x 10 cm) patch of nightstand, which is about a coaster and a half. It sits alongside a book and a glass of water rather than replacing them.

Care

Dust it with a soft brush rather than a cloth. Hand painted resin has recessed detail in the folds of the sheet and around the lantern, and a cloth pushes dust further in.

Good to know

The lantern lights the ghost, not the room. It is enough to find the door by and enough to fall asleep next to, and nowhere near enough to read the book it is holding.
