Size

At 5.9 x 3.5 in (15 x 9 cm) it is about the length of a hand from wrist to fingertip, and it weighs 14.1 oz (400 g) empty, which is enough that a cat brushing past does not send it off the sill. The planting cavity sits in the back, so what you put in reads as the animal's coat rather than a bouquet on top of it.

Care

Wipe the glaze with a damp cloth. Glazed ceramic takes hard water marks around the rim where it dries, so the cloth matters more on the pale colors than on the navy.

Good to know

The drain hole cuts both ways: water runs straight through onto whatever is underneath. Stand it on a saucer or a tile, or lift it to the sink to water, because there is nothing in the box to catch what comes out.
