Hot chocolate in a single wall glass gives you about two minutes before the outside is too hot to hold and your hands go around the base instead. This one is double walled and takes 10.1 oz (300 ml), with a Christmas design in the glass.

Capacity

10.1 oz (300 ml) is a standard coffee cup: one mug of mulled wine, one generous hot chocolate, and a third of a bottle of anything you are pouring at the table. It is a drink, not a soup bowl.

Care

Hand wash it and stand it upside down to dry. Double wall glass is thin by design, and the two walls trap water and detergent in the gap around the rim if it goes into the rack the other way up.

Good to know

Thin walls are the trade for keeping heat where it belongs. It handles hot liquid without complaint and it does not handle a knock against the tap, so wash it on its own rather than in a sink full of cutlery.
