Knock a ceramic vase off a windowsill and you are still finding shards behind the radiator a week later. This one is molded polypropylene with a faceted surface and a matte finish, so it reads like ceramic from across the room and bounces when it lands.

Materials
Polypropylene, matte on the outside, with the facets molded into the body rather than printed on. It takes water for fresh stems and it holds dried and artificial ones just as well.
Care
Rinse it by hand and dry it. Hot water softens a plastic vase over time and an abrasive sponge burnishes a matte finish into a shiny patch you cannot undo.
Good to know
It is light, and that cuts both ways. Empty, with tall dried stems in it, it tips at the first door slam. Fill it with water, or drop a few stones in the base, and it stays where you put it.
