Good to know

Fill the glass with water instead and it works as a hanging vase for something short, a sprig of ivy or one ranunculus. A long stem leans out through the frame and stays leaning, so cut hard or use the candle.

It hangs off a single hook, so it turns in a draft, and the sides are open by design. Keep it clear of curtains and shelf edges, and treat a lit tea light at head height as exactly what it is.

Care

Lift the glass out and wash it on its own. Iron and standing water do not get along, so dry the frame whenever wax or water runs down it, and a dry cloth handles the rest.
