The runner at 47 in (119 cm) covers the stretch between a sink and a stove in most galley kitchens, which is exactly where you stand longest. The welcome mat is the shorter, wider one, sized to take a full step in front of the door rather than half of one.
Care
Shake it out and wipe it down with a damp cloth. A stiff brush scours a printed face and takes the gold off the knotwork with it.
Good to know
This is a flat printed mat, not a deep pile scraper. It handles wet shoes and kitchen splashes; caked mud off garden boots still belongs on a bristle mat outside the door.
