Mixed pile is the whole idea: loops and cut ends sit at different heights, so the surface catches light in bands and the design reads as a landscape rather than a printed pattern.

It is wool over a cotton backing, made by hand, with an irregular outline instead of a straight edge, and it works either on the floor or on a wall.

Care

Wash it by hand and line dry it. Wool takes on water like a sponge and holds it, so support the whole piece when you lift it wet, press the water out rather than wringing it, and give it a full day on the line before it goes back down. A washing machine will felt the pile and shrink the backing.

Good to know

An irregular edge does not want furniture on it. A chair leg dragged over a curved edge pulls the outline out of true, so keep it clear of the path between the door and the couch. New wool also sheds for the first few weeks: vacuum it with the beater bar off, or you will pull the loops out of a piece someone knotted by hand.

Send it back unused, tags on, in its original packaging. Your order confirmation is all the proof we need.

Once it is back with us and checked, we email you to confirm, and the refund reaches your original payment method within 7 to 10 business days.
