A half round mat is cut to follow the arc a door makes as it swings, which is how it sits closer to the threshold than a rectangle can without catching underneath.
The print is a stained glass reading of a flower bed: heavy dark outlines, blocks of color inside them, on a face with enough texture to hold a wet sole.

A standard interior door is 36 in (91 cm) wide, so the large mat runs almost the full width of the doorway and the medium leaves a few inches of floor on either side. Check the clearance under your door as well: the depth is what decides whether it swings over the mat or shoves it along the hall.
Good to know
This is a mat for dust, dry soles and the last few steps into the house. Boots caked in mud want a bristle scraper outside, because a printed face like this one holds the mud in the pattern. Vacuum it in the direction of the pile and lift marks with a damp cloth rather than a stiff brush, which frays a print over time.
