The carafe holds 40.6 oz (1.2 L), which fills close to five of the matching tumblers. That ratio is the useful thing to know before you decide how many glasses to order alongside it.
Both pieces are borosilicate glass and lead free, and the carafe closes with a turned wooden ball. They sell separately, in moccasin or white smoke.

An 8.5 oz (0.25 L) tumbler is a juice glass, not a pint. A can of soda will not go into one in a single pour, and a generous measure of wine sits higher up the side than you want to carry across a room.
Good to know
Wood does not seal against air. The stopper keeps dust out and slows evaporation overnight, which is what a bedside water carafe needs and not what an opened bottle of red needs. Keep it for water, juice and iced tea.
Care
The glass takes a dishwasher. The wooden stopper does not: wood swells in a hot cycle and then splits along the grain. Rinse it, dry it by hand, and put it back only once the neck is dry.
