Good to know
Kill the other lights first. A projector this size is bright enough for a dark bedroom and no brighter, so the ceiling fixture and the hall lamp decide whether you get a night sky or a smudge. Aim it straight up under the ceiling, or square at a bare stretch of wall, and then stop fiddling with it.
Care
Wipe the lens with a dry microfiber cloth and never a paper towel. Paper scratches plastic optics, and a scratched lens leaves a permanent smear right in the middle of the starfield.
