Dinosaur Table Lamp, T-Rex or Brontosaurus

Two shapes, one idea: a white resin dinosaur with a row of small bulbs standing along its spine, wired to a plug with a switch on the cord. The T-Rex rears up on its hind legs. The Brontosaurus stretches out long and low.

By day it is a sculpture. At night it is a warm low glow at about tabletop height, which makes it a nightstand and bookshelf lamp rather than the one you light a room with.

The Brontosaurus is the wide one. At 19.2 in (49 cm) across it runs longer than an open 15 in laptop, and a narrow nightstand will not hold it plus a glass of water. The T-Rex trades that width for height and takes up closer to the footprint of a stack of hardcover books.

Cast resin, white, with a smooth matte surface.
Small warm bulbs set along the back and the tail.

Good to know

No wattage, bulb type or cord length was published, and no one says whether the bulbs come out. If they do not, the lamp lasts exactly as long as they do. The cord leaves the base and stays in plain sight, which is fine behind a shelf and awkward in the middle of a console. And you will not read by this light, whatever the room.

Care

Dust with a dry cloth. White resin shows fingerprints first at the neck and the tail, which are the two places people pick it up.
