Most water pitchers stay in the cupboard until guests arrive. This one stays out on the counter, because it is a cow: a clear glass pot with black spots and a curved black handle, topped with a matching cup that carries the ears, the eyes and the pink nose.

Hand wash it with a soft sponge, and let the glass cool down before it meets cold water.
Good to know
Warm it in the microwave or on an electric ceramic cooktop. It is a teapot, not a stovetop kettle: there is no whistle, and it stays off gas flames and induction. The cup sits loose on top of the pot, so lift it off before you pour.
