23 x 55 in (58 x 140 cm) suits a child or a short adult sitting down. 35 x 77 in (89 x 196 cm) covers an adult from the chest down with the fin past the feet. Measure from your armpit to your heels and take the size above that number, because a tail that stops short leaves your knees out in the open.

Good to know

Cable knit means gaps. It is warm because of the loft in the yarn, not because it blocks air, so a draft in a cold room finds its way through the pattern. You also cannot walk in it, which everybody knows and everybody tries once.
