The longest edge on any of the four is 6.1 in (15.5 cm), shorter than a wine bottle and close to a coffee mug. Cut your stems to match: a bunch that comes home from a florist needs a third of its length off before it goes into one of these.

Narrow vases run dry fast in a heated room, faster than the flowers give any sign of it. Check the water every morning, or fill them with grasses and seed heads and let the problem disappear for the season.
