27 oz (800 ml) is about two pint glasses of water, which is a full evening of drinks for two people. 18 oz (500 ml) is a day of water for one person and the one you would actually carry in a bag.
Good to know
Ice made this way costs you freezer space you are probably already fighting over, because the whole bottle has to go in rather than a flat tray. Check the height of your freezer shelf before you commit to the larger one.
Care
Rinse it out after anything with sugar in it. Juice and coffee leave a film inside the press mechanism, and a mechanism with a film in it stops releasing cleanly after a month.
