A lamp shaped like a chicken laying a lit bulb is a joke you have to live with every evening, so it had better work as a light. This one does, as a low glow: cast resin body, feather texture pressed into the surface, and a warm bulb sitting underneath where the egg belongs.

Cast resin with feather detail molded into the body.
Warm toned bulb below the body, in place of an egg.
Light enough to move between a bedside table, a desk and a counter.
Sits upright on its own feet, no stand or bracket.

Good to know

This is light to sit beside, not light to read by. Put it where you want a soft glow after the ceiling light goes off, and keep a proper lamp on the other side of the room for anything involving small print or a needle.

It also commits you to the joke. A guest picks it up, works out where the bulb is, and you get the same reaction from the next one, which is either the reason you bought it or the reason you should not.

About us

Welcome to HollowMade. We hunt for the pieces that make a room worth walking into: vessels, lighting and sculpture, picked one at a time and kept on our own shelves.

Chosen, not listed - Every piece is handled and checked before it ships. If it would not earn a place in our own home, it does not make the catalogue.

Fair prices, quietly - We keep the range tight and the margins honest, so a good object costs what it should and reaches your door wherever you are.

A person on the other end - Write to us and someone reads it. Before the order, after the order, either way.
