A leaf shaped platter earns its keep at the narrow end of a table, where a round plate pushes the glasses off the edge. These are hand painted ceramic with a gold rim tracing the outline of the leaf, in two sizes.

The large runs about the length of a rolling pin and the width of your hand, so think a row of macarons or a line of figs, not a cheese course for four. The small is a dish for the watch and earrings you take off before bed. Neither one is deep, so anything with sauce belongs somewhere else.
Care
Wash it by hand and dry the rim. Gold trim and a dishwasher cycle do not stay friends for long, and a microwave will not tolerate the rim at all.
