Stained Glass Print Half Round Doormat, 2 Sizes

Depth matters more than width on a doormat, because you get one footfall on it before you are standing on your own floor. The Medium gives you 15.7 in (40 cm) of that and the Large 19.6 in (50 cm), and the half round shape puts the flat edge against the threshold so the door clears it on the swing.

Size

A standard US front door is 36 in (91 cm) wide. The Large at 31.5 in (80 cm) fills most of that opening; the Medium at 23.6 in (60 cm) leaves bare threshold showing at both ends, which looks deliberate under a narrow door and undersized under a wide one.

Good to know

This is a velvet pile mat with a printed face, not a boot scraper. It lifts dust and dry grit off a sole and it will not strip wet mud from a tread the way coir or ridged rubber does. If the door opens straight onto a garden path, keep a scraper outside and give this one the inside of the door.

Give it a covered spot. Any printed face holds its color longer under a porch roof than it does in full sun and driving rain, and a velvet pile that stays soaked flattens where people stand.

Care

Washing it by hand keeps the pile lying flat and the print sharp. A gentle machine cycle works too, but run it on its own: the dotted backing grabs everything else in the drum.
