Most face planters arrive without a drainage hole, which turns them into bowls that hold water around the roots until something rots. This one has the hole, so the planting can be watered the normal way instead of measured out with a spoon.
Size
5.1 x 7.1 in (13 x 18 cm), roughly the footprint of a large coffee mug and a little taller. That takes a succulent, a small trailing pothos or a herb start, and not the plant that came home in a wide nursery pot.

Good to know
Whatever you plant becomes her hair, so the shape of the plant matters more here than in a plain pot. A trailing plant gives long hair down one side, a compact succulent gives a cropped head, and a leggy stem gives a bad morning. Prune it the way you would cut hair, a little and often.
A drainage hole needs somewhere for the water to go. Stand it on a saucer or a tray, or water it at the sink and let it drain before it goes back on the desk.
