Size

It measures 6.6 x 6.5 x 5.3 in (17 x 16.5 x 13.5 cm), so it takes about the nightstand space of a paperback laid flat and still leaves room for a glass of water. On a desk it sits below eye level beside a monitor, which is where a soft light does its work.

Good to know

This lights the surface it stands on and roughly an arm's length past it. Reading in bed by it is a squint. Use it as the light you leave on and keep a proper reading lamp for the reading.

The switch is the body itself. The smooth surface you keep wiping clean is also the control, and on the gold and silver finishes fingerprints turn up first.
